It's no secret that an Under Door Tool is one of the most effective and impactful tools used on most covert entry operations. But, despite being an indespensable part of one's field toolkit, the size of this item means that carrying one tends to involve a backpack, laptop bag, or equipment case.
Many of us in the trade are accustomed to keeping certain items on us as part of our daily carry... covert jiglers and combs on our keyring, a traveler hook in our pocket, door shims in our wallet, etc. But an Under Door Tool has never been something that was easily equipped on one's person as an everyday carry item... until now.
Inspired by a former employee of ours who experimented with this concept while working for us, Red Team Tools now offers the Under Door Tool Concealment Belt kit. Based around a hollow leather belt which makes use of a ratcheting buckle, this item allows a field operator to carry a slim but effective Under Door Tool concealed on their person at all times. Never be without this most essential piece of equipment ever again!
NOTE: Because we cannot determine the exact body size of each customer and because door handles are mounted at positions dictated by local building code, this item is consists of a belt that is extra-long and which is ultimately trimmed to length by the end user. (The "trimming" step in the process is customary with all ratcheting-style belts and it is for this reason that the buckles are instantly detachable with no tools needed.) Likewise, the Under Door Tool material is shipped as unfinished rod stock and all other necessary supporting hardare, in order to allow each end user to tailor their Under Door Tool to the size and requirements of their local region.
These belts can easily accomodate individuals with up to 46" waistlines and the parts kits shipped in each order include a six-foot "bend-and-stay" corrosion-resistant 316 stainless steel rod along with two six-foot segments of wear-resistant polymer line and two pieces of heat shrink tubing which are used to fabricate the tool itself. Full instructions for this process are here and it generally takes about five to ten minutes to accomplish.
The Red Team Tools Under Door Tool Concealment Belts are all made of full grain leather and are available in either black or brown. The black leather variant comes equipped with our nondescript "stealth" ratcheting buckle while the brown leather variant has our "subtle" style racheting buckle. Moreover, given that all of our belts are 1⅜" wide, there are a multitude of compatible racheting buckles available on the aftermarket that can be chosen to suit your particlar aesthetic.
